The Weekend
This weekend was about as good as they can get! Started out by going to the women’s soccer game on Friday night. It was the first home SEC game for them and they ended up winning 2-1 after a pretty awesome comeback. We helped beat the all-time attendance record and had a great time. After that we got a pizza and some ice cream and just hung out for the evening.
Saturday morning we left pretty early to head to Kansas City for a wedding of a guy that used to be in BYX and a girl that was in Phi Lamb. We stopped at a guy’s house that Jacob knows to watch the Mizzou game before the wedding, and I almost wish we didn’t. The game was terrible, but I just read today we started out last season 2-2 so I am not losing hope! After the game we went to the wedding, which lasted only about 20 minutes, and then to the reception that was at a really cool place downtown. Food was great, music was good and you could go and hang out on the roof about eight stories up which was beautiful. I had a great time, and came home late last night with Cole, Josh and Jacob.
This morning was about as lazy as you can make a day - which was exactly what I wanted. I slept until 11, watched the Ram’s game and ordered a pizza, went to church and then back to the house to hang out some more. It was a fun day for doing absolutely nothing and a nice way to relax after a crazy week of tests and to get ready for a new one tomorrow. Shouldn’t be as crazy as last week. I’ll be getting my grade for my first Chinese test and I think I did really well, so the studying is paying off! But anyway, hope you all had a great weekend! More to come soon.
